How do I tell my husbands family their choice of clothing for my 6 year old are not appropriate? My husbands family loves to buy our daughter clothes which is great and very kind. The problem is the kind of clothes they buy her we do not want her to wear. They are spending alot of money on clothing we are just giving away to the Goodwill because we will not let her wear them. His sister tryed to buy her some platform flip flops and I said that we do not approve of them on our daughter. I do not want my 6 year old dressing like a teenager with short short skirts, crop tops, shoes with too high of heels...that type of thing. The whole BRATZ clothing and dolls are something we do not want our daughter thinking is the way a woman should look. Any advise?

question about barbie, bratz, my scene, etc...? why do they all have perfect bodies? they all have long legs, perfect boobs, a tiny waist, and perfect hips and butts. i think these dolls have a bad influence on girls. the clothes are trashy, and they are all so stereotypical. they make girls feel they are nothing without the trendiest clothes, a cell phone, and a boyfriend. my sister is in 5th grade, and she is already thinking about kissing and wearing makeup! barbie, bratz and my scene make young girls want to grow up too fast. but i'm especially upset with the clothes that the bratz wear. THIGH HIGH BOOTS!! are these dolls or strippers? and mini skirts that barely cover their butts, and the tops are way too short!!! these dolls have a bad influence on girls, pressuring them to kiss, have a boyfriend, wear makeup at a younger age, and dress in inappropriate clothes. bratz and my scene should be discontinued, but barbie is a classic. but they could at least give her more modest clothes! why do they make those dolls perfect?

Why are Bratz dolls so disgusting and why do people actually allow kids to play with them? I mean....the full face of make up...the mini skirt...the knee-high boots...piercings? Bratz Dolls? My daughter has like 30 bratz dolls, clothes, the car and the house, would $99.00 be too much to ask? And does anyone want them for their girl? They were hardly played with.

Most girls I know loves Bratz now. Because they look different. They have big heads, small bodies and big feet and their eyes are greenish-bluish, brown with a hint of green or gray with a little brown, and their lips are big too, but so what? You guys don't seem to complain about Angelina Jolie's. Their lips are cute. The clothes that Bratz are wearing aren't even "slutty". First of all I do collect Bratz Dolls and so does my 8 yr old daughter. Second she knows she can't dress like them. What are some good Drawing Books for Beginners? My niece and nephew who are 5th & 6th graders and myself(12th Grade) would like to learn how to draw. What are some good updated drawing books that we can use. The reason why I aksed was because, my 12 year old nephew likes to draw Dragon Ball Z, Sonic The Hedgehog and Boy Shows. And my 10 year old niece and myself would like to do Fashion Design(Everything from Shoes to Sunglasses to Clothes) She likes Bratz and things. What should I get my 11 year old for her bday? Can you help me figure out what to get my daughter for her 11th birthday? She's such a sweet & smart girl who never asks for anything. She hasn't given us any clues as to what she'd like and has grown up so much over the last few months. I don't want to get her something that is too young'ish like dolls or bratz but I know clothes won't excite her yet either. We've already gotten her the new Harry Potter book and a cool shadow box of butterflies (which she loves) but I want something special too. Ideas? You all have so many great ideas! Do You Allow Your Young Daughters To Watch The Bratz Cartoon? Have you ever watched it yourself? Besides being incredibly shallow with its focus on looks, clothes and boys, I turned on the TV one morning and it was on. There were two of the girls abducted by a brawny bad man who was out to steal the jewelry off of the evil barbie twins' mother and he left them tied up in a cave with a crossbow pointed at them. One of them said here's how we'll get loose, we'll struggle and set off the device and the arrow will strike the medallion I'm wearing around my neck and the medallion will stop the arrow from killing me and then we can get loose from these ropes. The other one said oh, no, but went along with it.

Am I the only person that has beef with the Bratz Dollz? I have two nieces, one three the other five, and I went to get them some presents, (Cause I am a kick @ss uncle like that), and wandered upon the popular Bratz Dollz. Have You Gave Bratz A Chance? The first time Bratz stepped into the toy store, I would look at them and say "Urg!". Their clothes were way too revealing and way too much makeup. I don't actually mean the dolls are evil, because there plastic and thats plain silly, im talking about the evil Toy Manufacturers corrupting the world and sexualising children, seriously watch a bratz commercial on youtube, its so sick little girls aged about 6 or 7 acting like 18, with makeup on and tarty clothes, i don't know what is happening to this society we live in, but our children do not deserve to grow up in it, as adults we have a right to protect kids and let them have a childhood without sex and violence, i took my daughter to a party the other day, and was disgusted at seeing real bratz standing at the door, its more the attitude of these girls that i hated, it saddens me that as parents we fight on a daily basis to filter out whats appropriate for our children to see, but the current state of society we live in, it seems innocence will soon be a thing of the past, and little children already are feeling the brunt of it, its about sick money, and thats whats evil.
Bratz Dolls and Future Hoes? I remembered when Barbie dolls were controversial for creating anegative image of women but what do you think about these bratz dolls? They have big heads and tiny bodys dressed scantily clad. The faces are painted with make up and all they wear are belly button clothes. Even the babies have tube tops on, make up, and 'bling;. I'm not a square but I don't think thats the type of image you should be giving your children. Does anyone else agree?
Whats wrong with Bratz? I dont get why people are hating on bratz! I for one like them! They ARE not skanks in training they just wear different type clothing. Just beacuse YOU dont approve of them dosent mean you shouldnt get one for you daughter or other family members! And Bratz DO NOT wear thongs!!!!!!!!! Yes the rumor about the Bratz doll saying a bad word is true but it was just a mistake by the creator! If YOU think bratz dress like slutz dosent mean you cant just buy one that dresses nice! Its YOUR fault if your daughter beggs you every year and you just dont buy her one that dresses nice! Give them a chance they are not that bad!!!!!!! At least they are wearing clothes at all! Do you think that barbie and bratz should be banned? I mean barbie teaches young girls to be anerexic,be a girly girly and stick to gender roles, that you should sepnd money like u breathe. I also heard that one of the minor reasons that islamic extremist r doing what they are doing is so that they can have western influences out of islamic countries including barbies.On the flip side barbie has many careers, friends of different races, travels the world, has got only 1 bf and helps animals. Barbie is also made up of plastic that is very dangerous to the enviroment. As for bratz they get new bfs everyday, two time,teach girls to live the parting lifestyle,become fashion consoius, be the popluar girls, grow up fast(date young) and shopaholic and make fun of the ugly/umpopular girls. They also have unrealistic features.They all have expensive things like cars, expensive clothes etc etc.They also teach girls that beuty is everything and so does barbie in a way. But atleast bratz play sports. i know all this as my sis LOVESS both. i mean its deff not the thing for 8-12 yo girls and definately not younger. Also there was this bratz doll that was taken off for racial japnese stereotypes.I even saw this babrie poster ina toy museum saying indivualty cases pain. BE PLAIN BE SIMPLE
Barbie or Bratz: Which is cuter to dress up? I would want to buy myself a fashion doll. It's not like I am going to play with it, well, I just want something I can make/sew/buy cute clothes on and then wear it to her... I am longing for entertainment at home. You know, in reality, I couldn't dress up like what they dress (no matter how cute I think some of the outfits are), so I think I'll just project it to the doll.
